A Ramadan Festival Program was organized by our university’s student communities in order to celebrate the spiritual atmosphere of the holy month of Ramadan and to keep our traditional culture alive. 🌙✨
As part of the event, our students experienced colorful examples of traditional Turkish theatre, including a welcoming invitation accompanied by the traditional verses of the Ramadan drummer, a Meddah performance, an Âşuk and Maşuk show, improvised theatre scenes, and Hacivat–Karagöz shadow plays. The program also featured a quiz competition and a music recital by the Salt Music and Arts Community, providing participants with enjoyable moments. 🎭🎶
During the refreshment section of the festival, participants were offered Ramadan sherbet, Ottoman macun candy, cotton candy, corn, and tea, reflecting the spirit of sharing and unity that characterizes Ramadan. 🍬☕
The event, which attracted great interest from our students, offered an opportunity to experience the cultural heritage of Ramadan, our traditional arts, and the beauty of togetherness. We would like to thank all the student communities who contributed to this meaningful organization.
