Our faculty, which was established within Gazi University with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 15.05.2006 and numbered 10440, continued its establishment works, and was incorporated into Çankırı Karatekin University by changing its name and affiliation in accordance with the law numbered 5662 issued on 17.05.2007, and started education in the 2007-2008 academic year.
Our faculty, which started education in the old service building of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture allocated by the Çankırı Governorship, moved to its building rented from Türk Telekom by the Çankırı Karatekin University Foundation and located in the city center in 2008. Between 2009-2012, it continued its education and training activities in its second building opened in Kırkevler Neighborhood in addition to the Türk Telekom building. It moved to its new building on the campus in August 2014 after the Uluyazı Campus was ready.
There are seven undergraduate programs within our faculty.
The Departments of Business Administration and Economics started their education in the 2007-2008 academic year,
The Department of International Relations started their education in the 2009-2010 academic year,
The Department of Political Science and Public Administration started their education in the 2010-2011 academic year,
The Departments of Banking and Finance, Labor Economics and Industrial Relations and International Trade started their education in the 2015-2016 academic year,
for the first time.
The name of the Department of Banking and Finance was changed to Finance and Banking by the Council of Higher Education as of the 2020-2021 academic year, and the name of the Department of International Trade was changed to International Trade and Finance. Our faculty graduated its first students at the end of the 2010-2011 Academic Year.
Our faculty`s Department of Finance and Banking has switched to the 7+1 model education system, which is implemented as a concrete step of university-industry cooperation, for our students who registered as of the Fall semester of the 2024-2025 Academic Year.
With this model, we aim to raise all our students as individuals who are ready for business life at the graduation stage and to bring them into the business world.
In our 7+1 Education Model, our students will receive 7 semesters of formal education and 1 semester (14 weeks) of full-time practical education in businesses. In this way, our students will have the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they receive in business life and will be equipped to successfully take part in the business world after graduation. This process will help our students take the first steps in their careers more confidently and successfully.
In addition, our faculty offers;

4 Master`s Degrees in the Department of Business Administration;
2 Master`s Degrees in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration;
1 Master`s Degree in International Relations;
1 Master`s Degree in Finance and Banking;
1 Master`s Degree in International Trade and Finance;
Political Science and International Relations English Thesis Master`s Degree (interdisciplinary);
programs are actively provided.
As of June 2025, our faculty has;
77 academic staff, including 11 Professors, 24 Associate Professors, 25 Assistant Professors and 17 Research Assistants, and 9 administrative staff.
Our graduates can work in the qualified labor market needed by both the private and public sectors.
